Gunung Kidul Coastal Wonder: Jomblang & Pindul Cave Tour

The Jomblang Cave tour is a unique and adventurous experience that involves a vertical descent (abseiling) of approximately 60 meters into a sinkhole. Inside, you’ll trek through a dark tunnel to reach the Grubug Cave, where a stunning “light of heaven” phenomenon occurs as sunlight streams through a collapsed section of the cave roof, illuminating the underground river. It’s a truly breathtaking and photogenic natural spectacle.

No prior abseiling experience is necessary. Experienced and certified guides will provide all the necessary equipment and thorough safety instructions. They will assist you during both the descent and ascent.

The Jomblang Cave tour is heavily dependent on weather conditions. Heavy rain can make the descent and the cave conditions unsafe. Tour operators typically monitor the weather closely and may postpone or cancel the tour for safety reasons. In such cases, you will usually be offered a reschedule or a refund according to the tour’s cancellation policy.
